UP Act No 06 of 2020 The Uttar Pradesh Ayush University Act, 2020 (UP Act No 06 of 2020) was enacted to provide for the establishment of an Ayush University at Gorakhpur Uttar Pradesh for treatment, teaching and research in Indian Medicine System of Ayurveda, Yoga and Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha and Homeopathy. The State Ayush University, Uttar Pradesh (Amendment) Ordinance, 2021 (U.P. Ordinance No. 1 of 2021) was promulgated by the hon’ble Governor on January 9, 2022

HISTORY OF GORAKHPUR, UTTAR PRADESH.

The ancient Gorakhpur, in addition to modern, comprised the districts of Basti, Deoria, Azamgarh and parts of Nepal tarai. These regions, which may be called as Gorakhpur Janpad, had been an important centre of Aryan culture and civilization. Weather. In Gorakhpur, the wet season is hot, oppressive, and partly cloudy and the dry season is warm and mostly clear. Over the course of the year, the temperature typically varies from 50°F to 100°F and is rarely below 45°F or above 107°F. Based on the beach/ pool score, the best times of year to visit Gorakhpur for hot-weather activities are from mid-March to mid-May and for the entire month of October. Gorakhpur is the tapobhoomi of Maha Yogi Baba Gorakhnath who is considered to be the founder of the Shiva sub-tradition of ‘Nath’ religious denomination and monastic movement in India. His work authored in subjects of Ayurveda studies such as Rasashatra and Bhaishajya Kalpana which are published in books pertaining to ‘Nath’ literature, Yoga and Shailtal, form a part of Ayurveda’s salient learnings. It is a matter of pride that the Ayush Universiis established in a holy place like Gorakhpur which has such a rich historic and cultural background. Mahayogi Guru Gorakhnath AYUSH University. It is a dream project of Hon Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. Presently Ayurveda colleges, Yoga and Naturopathy colleges, hospital centre and huts will be start in within home. Maha Yogi Guru Gorakhnath Ayush University, Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh is under construction at Basthan- Bhathat road nearly 23 Kilo meters away from Gorakhpur Junction Railway Station. The University will be functional in Mar 2023. The Mahayogi Guru Gorakhnath AYUSH University will be expanded in around fifty-two hectares to disseminate and advance knowledge in Ayurveda, Unani, Homeopathy, Yoga and naturopathy, Siddha and Sowa-rigpa, Nursing, Pharmacy, Paramedical Science and such other disciplines as may be prescribed from time to time and to ensure efficient and systematic instructions, teaching, training and research therein;

Dr. K.R.C. Reddy gradually acquired highest degrees BAMS, M.D (Ayu), Ph.D. (Ayu), H.P.A Edu., CLAD (Japan), D.Lit, all these degrees are pertaining to Ayurveda (Rasashastra and Bhaishajya Kalpana) from various Universities of India and Abroad. Dr. Reddy wrote 24 great Ayurveda books in Sanskrit and English. Dr.Reddy have tried to establish Ayurveda in a scientific manner at international level. Few books are referred by students and scholars of BAMS and M.D. (Ayu) because they are presented as per syllabus and also referred by persons working in Ayurvedic Drug Industries. Dr.Reddy also published some of unpublished Ayurveda treatises belongs to 15th AD of ancient Andhra Pradesh such as Parahita Samhita, Vaidyachintamani (big compendium of Ayurveda formulations) which are written in Sanskrit Slokas with Telugu script during 15th A.D. and Dr.Reddy published these treatises Slokas in Devanagari script with English commentary in scientific maner and after its publication by Dr.Reddy these books were circulated all over the world and became base for many research works conducted over the formulations of Vaidyachintamani e.g. Effect of Lodhradi kashaya spray drier powder for the management of Type-2 Diabetes mellitus. Like this Dr.Reddy carried out research on many formulations which are mentioned in Vaidyachintamani for the first time published in English and Sanskrit. Dr.Reddy have published more than 90 research papers in international journals and some of the articles are having good impact factor. These are available on web (i.e. ORCID No-0000-0003-2516-5373 and Research gate etc.). Prof.K.Rama Chandra Reddy is well known for his valuable contribution in the field of Ayurveda pertaining to Ayurvedic Pharmaceutics (Rasashastra and Bhaisajya Kalpana). During the last twenty seven years he was written on various aspects of Rasashastra and Bhaishajya kalpana Literary, Scientific, Conceptual as well as practical aspects of Ayurvedic drug manufacturing. He is also worked as Research fellow in Japan. He is appointed as subject expert member in T.K.D.L under CSIR, New Delhi. Dr.Reddy also worked as Taskforse member of Ayurveda in T.K.D.L under CSIR, New Delhi. Further from 2018 to March 2020 Dr.Reddy also worked as member of Ayurvedic pharmacopoeia committee- Unani pharmacopoeia committee- Siddha pharmacopoeia committee- Homeopathy pharmacopoeia committee- United states pharmacopoeia committee.
